Deposit & Cancellation Policy at Blakes Hair and Beauty Salon in Canterbury
Your custom is very important to us and we will always do our our very best to fit you in for an appointment at a time to suit you. When you book an appointment with us we may ask you for a booking deposit. This deposit will be used as part payment towards your service and is fully refundable provided we receive at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment.
Our cancellation policy is strictly 24 hours for all clients. If we don’t receive 24 hours’ notice to cancel your appointment then unfortunately, any deposit paid becomes non-refundable and you will be liable for the full cost of your appointment.
Why Do I Have To Pay a Deposit or Cancellation Charge?
Your appointment is very important to the team at Blakes. We take your booking as a contract and the time slot is reserved especially for you. For this reason, please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services.
This is especially important during the current Covid restrictions, where appointment numbers are limited and waiting lists are long.
We respectfully ask that if you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact us ASAP and at least 24 hours in advance to avoid the loss of your deposit and cancellation charges. This will help us with the smooth running of our salon.
All returning guests who fail to attend an appointment will be asked to pre-pay in full for their next appointment.
We completely understand that things can happen at the last minute and can assure you that we will be sympathetic. If you are required to self-isolate due to Covid, please do not attend your appointment, but inform us as soon as you can.
Skin Allergy Patch Tests
Clients who have not had a colour service with us before, or have not had a colour service for over 12 months at Blakes must make arrangements for a consultation and skin allergy test first. In addition, if you have suffered from Covid-19 since your last hair colour appointment, please book in for a patch test, as your sensitivity to hair colour products may have changed.
Allergy tests must take place no later than 48 hours before a colour service appointment. Booking deposits will not be refunded if you do not visit us to have an allergy test in sufficient time.
Please let us know if you change your mobile number or email address so we always have your current contact details on file.
Our 24 hour cancellation policy gives us time to inform our standby clients of any availability and keeps our team members’ schedules filled. Our aim is to provide you with an excellent level of service and our policies help us to achieve this.
