My daughter (13yo) had her hair cut this evening. Not only is the cut brilliant (she loves it) but the hairdresser took the time to give her tips on how to maintain it and showed her tips on how to style it. Amazing and friendly service - would highly recommend.

Today I had my hair cut by Mike on recommendation and I absolutely love it. Apart from a great hair cut, Mike gave me advice on how to style my hair and advised what products to use. I will definitely be returning. The salon is friendly and the atmosphere is great. Highly recommend.

I had the best and most professional service here. Grace was absolutely amazing and really friendly and welcoming. She completely transformed my hair, I left with it feeling 100x healthier, shinier and all round just better. I can’t rate this salon highly enough. I had a disastrous colour at another Canterbury salon, where I went from blonde to mud/khaki (obviously not what I’d asked for!). The same day, I called Blakes in distress and explained; the super friendly receptionist got me in immediately (within 15 minutes), where I had a consultation with Mike, who took hair strands to test for colour removal. He also gave me a temporary toning rinse, free of charge, before I could come back for a full colour correction in two days after a skin test. I had a 5 hour appointment today with amazing Annie, who stripped out all of the hideous previous colour and restored my blonde - it is what I wanted originally, and more. Thank you, thank you, thank you Annie and Mike - I am so happy with my hair and will never go anywhere else for colour ever again! The service at Blakes is exceptional.

What a complete asset Grace is! I feel I could call her my friend. She is utterly professional, attentive and personable, but above all, Talented. Grace is intuitive in her work and makes me feel totally confident that I am in safe hands. Every time Grace does my hair I comment that it has never looked so lovely, then I return and she surprises herself. Thank you so much Grace, Blakes is very lucky.

I had my first appointment at Blakes after my previous hairdresser of 40 years retired. I was nervous. I was thrilled by the results. The lovely Kirstie performed a miracle, great colour, good cut and lovely healthy looking shiny hair. I was made to feel very welcome. Lovely people working there. Didn't hesitate to book my next appointment!

A fantastic hairdressers lovely staff always welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. Annie is a brilliant she has completely changed my hair it looks so much more healthy thanks to the products that they sell and fabulous colour as recommended by her. My son also has he’s hair done there he is 10 and was very nervous of hairdressers but at Blakes he is happy relaxed and he’s hair looks brilliant. Can’t fault it. Five stars ⭐️
