Types of Waxing

Waxing is a temporary hair removal treatment that strips the hair directly from the root to guarantee an immediate smooth and clean finish.  Your beauty therapist will offer an efficient and discreet service and will do her best to keep any discomfort to a minimum.

Regular waxing reduces regrowth, which is often much finer and softer than from shaving or depilatory creams. Most people see hair regrowth after 4-6 weeks (although you may see some regrowth after a week, depending on your hair’s regrowth cycle).

We use two forms of wax hair removal:

Warm Wax – Your beauty therapist will apply warm wax to the skin with a spatula and remove it with a paper strip.  You should always ensure the area to be waxed is clean and moisturised before arriving for your appointment. For optimum results, exfoliate and moisturise the area between waxing treatments and let your hair grow for at least three weeks.

Hot Wax – Working at a slightly higher temperature than warm wax, hot wax makes shorter and more stubborn hairs easier to remove and can be a more comfortable way of removing hair from intimate areas for Hollywood Waxing, Bikini Line Waxing and Brazilian Waxing.  Made with antiseptic tea tree oil, our hot wax is melted to a thicker consistency than warm wax. As it cools it becomes firmer, contracting around the hairs, gripping them tightly. The wax remains on the skin until it becomes soft and can be quickly pulled off the skin.
